My first Telescope bought in 1979.  The Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) is a generic 6", f/5 reflector.  The mount is a Meade
German Equatorial Mount with an AC worm gear drive. An optional Joy Stick Control allowed some simple manually control
of the R.A. and Declination drives.  This was high-tech stuff for amateur astronomy back in 1979-80.

When I packed my car for college I had very little room.  The telescope was the
first thing packed.
