Object: IC434 - The Horsehead Nebula. Located in the constellation Orion. The approximate distance is 1,600 Light Years. The dark nebula that forms the Horsehead itself is known as Barnard 33 (B 33). The red background is the emission nebula IC 434. The reflection nebula NGC 2023 is also visible. Telelscope: Stellarvue 80mm f/6, piggybacked on LX200 Camera: Starlight Xpress MX916, w/ SXV upgrade Guiding: SXV guider through LX200 10", f/4 Exposures: L=15 x 4 min (1 hr), Ha=8 x 5 min (40 mins), RGB= 6 x 5min each Filters: IDAS LPS, Schuler Ha, Schuler LRGcBc Comments: Taken from home.
