Object: NGC6960 - Witch's Broom Nebula. The western portion of the Veil Nebula located in the constellation Cygnus. The Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant which lies about 1400 light-years away. Telelscope: SV80L - f/7.5 - piggybacked on LX200 Camera: Starlight Xpress SXV-H9 Guiding: SXV Guider through LX200 10" f/4.0 Exposures: Ha: 20 X 120s (40 minutes total - unbinned) Filters: Schuler Ha Comments: Taken near Lake George, Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Star Party. No Flats or Dark Frames, AA3 for capture and process. |
