the reflection of the shoulder harness buckle from the person taking the photo.

Description:  Described as one of the best-kept secrets of World War II, the
Airacomet was the first jet-propelled airplane in the United States. It was such a
hush-hush project that hundreds of flights had been made in the radically new
machine before it was announced to the public in 1943. I believe this photo to be of
the XP-59 since there is no tail number and is the older paint scheme. Anyone???

observes with-out fanfare this month its 13th birthday as Uncle Sam's big stick
for peace."

Photo:   Nice 8 x 10 vintage  B/W glossy photo on a fiber based paper with stamp

USAF - Boeing B-52 Refueling with two GAM-77 Hound Dog Missiles

Photo:   An near mint condition vintage 8 x 10 photo on a fiber based paper I'd
estimate late 50's or very early 60's .

Description:  Great vintage photo showing a B-52 with two GAM-77 Hound Dog
missiles. The Hound Dog was originally designated B-77, was redesignated
GAM-77 and then became the AGM-28. North American Aviation designed the
missile so that two could be carried on specially modified B-52s, one beneath
each wing. The navigation systems of the B-52 and the GAM-77 were integrated
so the B-52 navigator could cross-check data with the automated system in the
Hound Dogs. I actually believe these to be two XGAM-77 Missiles based on their
early paint scheme.

Photo:   Vintage 8 x 10 in excellent condition with McDonnell Aircraft Corporation

bomb at extreme ranges, utilizing its unique in-flight refueling capabilities. As the
only supersonic airplane to be exposed in flight to an H-bomb explosion during
tests at Bikini in May, 1956, the F-101A proved its capability to withstand
radiation and blast effects.
